The Gond, one of the largest tribal communities in India, who mostly hail from Madhya Pradesh, paint in a line and dot form. These pieces have been painted by Mahesh Shyam, a 28 year old Gond artist from Bhopal. His paintings depict tales from the forest and nomadic life of the tribe inspired by the stories he heard from his grandparents who lived in the forest. “They saw the forest life closely and had several fables in which animals were personified. Though I haven’t seen the forest life that closely, their tales helped me imagine what it would be like living in the forest.”
  • 100% NATUTRAL DYED HANDLOOM DENIM, HAND PAINTED
  • DRY CLEAN ONLY WITH A GOOD AND CAREFUL DRY CLEANER
Note: The garment may exhibit patchy dyeing and marks as a result of the natural dyeing process. The print may naturally fade due to exposure to sunlight and washing. Dry crocking (the transfer of dye onto other fabrics and surfaces when dry) may also occur. Refrain from pairing this clothing item with light colors until any remaining color has been eliminated, as there might be some color transfer.
