This fabric is woven on a handloom using an extra weft Bhujodi technique which is a discontinuous weft weaving process using kala cotton yarns. In this technique, motifs are inlaid by hand into the fabric by adding a denser thread to the warp. This process is extremely difficult and time consuming only by extremely skilled textile artisans.
