Boxy fit open collar short sleeve shirt with hand applique work on handwoven khadi
₹37,450
The Rabari community were originally nomadic travellers, with some settling in Kutch, Gujarat.
The women of the community, now working with Kala Raksha, a grassroots social enterprise that is dedicated to preserving traditional arts, created a scene from their memories of partition and the migration from Pakistan to post partition India,
using a traditional hand-embroidered applique technique.
Partition affected millions and this shirt is dedicated to Saroj Kapahi, mother of KARDO founder Rikki Kher, who’s family migrated from
Kasur to Jalandhar and finally settled in Delhi in 1949.
