Kantha blankets are made from upcycling
old
saris
and
patching them
together
with
a
hand embroidery
kantha
stitch. The
tradition
started
in
Bengal and
later
became
a
part
of
the culture
for
many
regions
in
India. We
take
these
old
blankets
and
create clothing,
juxtaposing
the
traditional usage
of
these
beautiful
old
textiles with modern clothing. This style features a cuffless and hemless finish with binding details.
